During a crisis like the coronavirus pandemic, how can you best serve your customers who are still trying to live their lives without interruption?
An ecommerce platform is one way to continue to leverage your products and services, while protecting your employees and your customers during a crisis.
At InnerAction Media (IAM), we have helped our long-standing client, Dermatology Center for Skin Health, PLLC, organize, develop and launch a full-scale skin and hair health ecommerce platform. This platform not only provides in-depth information about each product sold but also includes a high-resolution image of each product(s) and functionality that allows for multiple products to be packaged during monthly special sales.
Since the Dermatology Center for Skin Health, PLLC became a client of IAM, the dermatologic company has always sold skin care and hair health products in its brick-and-mortar store.
Earlier this year, the Dermatology Center for Skin Health, PLLC expressed its objective of moving its store online to accomplish a few goals:
The issues that our team at IAM faced included:
Finding the Right Platform to Accomplish the Goals of Our Client
After researching the top three eCommerce platforms, the IAM team recommended that the Shopify platform be leveraged for the eCommerce site. Shopify accomplished all of the goals that the center had and allowed our team the creative freedom to develop a high-quality store that was easy to navigate and use.
Organizing, Writing and Editing Product Descriptions
The Dermatology Center for Skin Health, PLLC, already had product descriptions available to them. Our content development team took those descriptions, broke them out by product category and edited them to the tone of the center.
Additionally, to minimize re-work and lost documents, our team utilizes Google Docs to keep track of content that was being edited or needed to be approved.
Coordinating with Product Company to Receive High-Resolution Images
As the center had more than 50 products that needed to be uploaded to their Shopify account, our team needed to be able to curate high-resolution images for each product and description. Our website development team worked with the product company to source all images. This meant that all images were consistent and branded.
The eCommerce platform for the Dermatology Center for Skin Health, PLLC features in-depth descriptions of each product, high-resolution, consistent and branded images of each product, pricing functionality, marketing metric analysis and most importantly, a customer management system (CMS) software integration. Not only was the launch successful, but we are happy to say that customers love it and are able to use it during a time of crisis.
